At Pearl White Sands, our aim is to provide a peaceful, comfortable and relaxing stay for all our guests. As a small boutique property, we kindly ask guests to familiarise themselves with the following terms and policies before arrival.
Disclaimer & Right of Admission
Right of admission to Pearl White Sands is reserved.
Entry to the property, including accommodation, parking areas, gardens and shared facilities, is subject to these terms and conditions and is undertaken at the guest’s own risk.
While reasonable care is taken to provide a safe and comfortable environment, Pearl White Sands, its owners and management accept no liability for loss, theft, damage, injury or death involving persons or property on the premises, except to the extent that liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Guests remain responsible for their personal belongings and vehicles during their stay.
Booking & Payment
A 50% deposit is required to secure a direct reservation, unless otherwise stated in the booking confirmation.
The outstanding balance is payable prior to arrival. Same-day reservations require full payment at the time of booking.
Reservations made through third-party booking platforms are subject to the payment terms displayed by the relevant booking platform.
Cancellation Policy
Unless otherwise stated in your booking confirmation, cancellations of direct bookings are subject to the following:
- 30 days or more before arrival – 25% of the deposit is forfeited
- 21–29 days before arrival – 50% of the deposit is forfeited
- 14–20 days before arrival – 100% of the deposit is forfeited
- 7–13 days before arrival – 100% of the total booking value is forfeited
Any approved refund is subject to applicable bank and transaction charges.
High-season, promotional and special-rate reservations may have different cancellation conditions. Where applicable, these will be clearly stated in the booking confirmation.
Bookings made through third-party booking platforms are subject to the cancellation conditions applicable to that reservation.
Children
Pearl White Sands offers a peaceful, predominantly adult environment suited particularly to couples, friends, solo travellers and business guests.
Children aged 12 years and older are welcome in suitable accommodation options.
Children under the age of 12 cannot be accommodated.
Visitors
Visitors are permitted by prior arrangement and approval only.
Where visitors are approved:
- A visitor fee of R150 per person may apply
- Visitors must be 12 years or older
- Visitors may not stay overnight unless they have been added to the reservation and the accommodation capacity allows it
- Registered guests remain responsible for the conduct of their visitors
The number of people occupying any suite or apartment may not exceed its stated maximum occupancy.
Peace & Quiet
Pearl White Sands is situated in a peaceful residential area and we ask guests to respect both other guests and our neighbours.
Quiet hours are from 22h00 to 07h00.
Parties, functions, events and excessive noise are not permitted unless specifically arranged and approved in advance.
Smoking & Vaping
All accommodation at Pearl White Sands is strictly non-smoking.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside any suite or apartment or on private patios and balconies.
Designated smoking areas are available at the front of the property and in the Secret Garden.
A cleaning charge of R1,000 may be applied where smoking or vaping has taken place in a prohibited area.
Pets
Pet-friendly accommodation is available in the Starfish Studio, Turtle Suite and Starfish Apartment by prior arrangement only.
A maximum of one small adult lapdog is permitted on the property at any one time, subject to our pet policy and a pet fee of R200 per stay.
Pets are not permitted in the Anchor Queen Room, Seahorse Studio or Seahorse Family Suite.
Housekeeping Service
Housekeeping varies according to the accommodation booked:
- Anchor Queen Room – weekday housekeeping included
- Starfish Studio – housekeeping included Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- Turtle Suite – optional housekeeping available on request
- Starfish Apartment – optional housekeeping available on request
- Seahorse Studio – optional housekeeping available on request
- Seahorse Family Suite – optional housekeeping available on request
Optional housekeeping is charged separately.
For stays of seven nights or longer, a linen refresh and full service is required, and the applicable linen/service charge will apply.
Towels & Beach Use
Bath towels provided in the accommodation are for use on the property and should not be taken to the beach.
Guests are requested to bring their own beach towels, we do have a limited number of towels available for rental
Beach umbrellas are available for hire, subject to availability.
Parking
Parking is allocated according to the accommodation booked and the size of guests’ vehicles.
On-site parking is limited. Where on-site parking cannot be provided, additional parking is available in the quiet cul-de-sac directly outside the property.
The Starfish Apartment is allocated one parking space.
Parking is at the guest’s own risk.
Check-In
Standard check-in is between 14h00 and 20h00.
Early luggage drop-off may be arranged in advance, subject to availability.
An electronic check-in form will be sent before arrival. Guests are requested to complete this prior to arrival to assist with a smooth and efficient check-in.
Guests are also encouraged to advise us of their approximate arrival time.
Your hosts live on the property and are available should you require assistance during your stay.
Keys & Access
Keys are provided once the required check-in administration and payment arrangements have been completed.
Guests are responsible for their keys for the duration of their stay.
Lost keys are charged at R500.
Late-arrival arrangements must be made with us in advance.
Check-Out
Standard check-out is by 10h00.
Late check-out may be available until 12h00 by prior arrangement and subject to availability.
Where approved, late check-out is charged at R150 per hour or part thereof.
Late check-out may not be available during high season or where incoming guests are arriving on the same day.
Guests are requested to return their keys and advise us of any breakages or damage before departure.
Braai Facilities
A shared braai balcony is available to guests staying in the upstairs accommodation.
Charcoal braais are provided according to the number of guests. Guests are requested to use the designated braai facilities only.
The Anchor Queen Room does not have braai facilities.
Septic System
Pearl White Sands operates with a septic system.
Guests are kindly requested to dispose only of toilet paper in the toilets. Sanitary products, wipes and other foreign objects must be placed in the bins provided.
Bicycles & Outdoor Equipment
Guests travelling with mountain bikes are welcome.
For the protection of our floors, cycling shoes may not be worn inside the accommodation.
A hosepipe and bucket are available for cleaning bicycles and outdoor equipment. Please ask us where these may be used.
Guest Conduct & Property
Illegal drugs, unlawful behaviour and firearms are not permitted on the property.
Guests are responsible for any loss, breakage or damage caused by themselves, members of their party, visitors or pets during their stay.
The cost of repairing or replacing damaged or missing property may be charged to the guest.
